LG dishwashers use an inverter direct-drive wash motor and QuadWash spray arms that rotate in multiple directions. They are quiet and efficient, and they report faults with clear codes like OE, IE and AE.
QuadWash arms have extra rotating nozzles that clog with limescale and food particles faster than simple arms. If dishes on one level come out dirty, remove and rinse that arm and check the nozzles turn freely. If the whole load is dirty, the circulation pump may be weak.
AE (E1 on some models) means water has reached the leak sensor in the base. Oversudsing from the wrong detergent is a common cause, as are door seal and sump leaks. We find the source and dry the base.

LG TrueSteam dishwashers inject steam to loosen dried food and reduce water spots. The steam generator is fed with water, so in Dubai it collects limescale faster than the rest of the machine. If the steam option stops working, or programs run longer than before, a scaled steam generator or its valve is a likely cause. Descaling, or replacing the generator, restores it. Keeping the softener salt topped up protects the steam system as well as your glassware.
