Samsung washing machines are in thousands of Dubai apartments, and most faults show up as a clear code on the display. Newer models end codes in C (4C, 5C, dC) while older ones end in E (4E, 5E, dE), but the meaning is the same. We repair all Samsung front-load and top-load machines on-site, usually in one visit.
A 5C or 5E code means the water is not draining in time. Samsung machines have a debris filter behind the small cover at the bottom front. Open it slowly over a tray, since a full drum means a lot of water, and remove lint, coins and underwire. If 5C returns with a clean filter, the drain pump is usually worn or the drain hose is blocked where it meets the sink trap.
dC (or dE, DC) means the door is not detected as locked. Check that nothing is caught in the door, then close it firmly. If the machine still will not start, the door lock assembly has usually failed. It is a common Samsung repair and a quick one. On AddWash models, the small AddWash door has its own switch that can also trigger door errors.
UE or UB means Samsung’s sensors detected an unbalanced drum and stopped the spin. Occasional UE is normal with a single heavy item. Frequent UE with small loads, or a loud rumble during spin, points to worn shock absorbers, a loose counterweight or worn drum bearings.

Make sure the tap is fully open and the inlet hose is not kinked, then clean the small mesh filter where the hose connects to the machine. If 4C returns, the inlet valve needs replacing.
Detergent and softener residue builds up in the door seal and drum. Run the Drum Clean program monthly and wipe the door gasket. Persistent smells can mean a partially blocked drain.
