Common Samsung Refrigerator Problems
Most Samsung fridges use two separate evaporators (Twin Cooling Plus), so the fridge and freezer can fail independently. The most frequent faults we fix are ice build-up on the fan behind the freezer or fridge panel, which causes a loud fan noise and poor cooling, and ice maker faults on side-by-side and French-door models, where ice forms in the ice chute or the ice maker stops dropping cubes.
- Fridge section warm while freezer is fine: fridge evaporator iced up or fridge fan failure
- Loud buzzing or grinding from the back of the freezer: ice hitting the fan blade
- Ice maker not making ice or ice stuck in the chute
- Water leaking from the dispenser or pooling under the crisper drawers
- Digital Inverter compressor not starting: inverter PCB or compressor fault
