A dishwasher that stops mid-cycle with a tub full of dirty water, or leaves a puddle on the kitchen floor, needs fixing fast. Our technicians repair built-in, semi-integrated and freestanding dishwashers across Dubai every day. Most faults, from blocked drain pumps to failed heaters and inlet valves, are fixed in a single visit. Popular models we work on include Bosch dishwashers, Siemens dishwashers, Samsung dishwashers and LG dishwashers.

Common Dishwasher Problems We Repair

Our technicians have encountered and fixed every appliance malfunction possible in Dubai homes. We troubleshoot and resolve these issues on a daily basis:

Dishwasher Not Cleaning Properly

Commonly caused by clogged spray arm nozzles, a faulty circulation pump, or using low-quality detergent.

Dishwasher Leaking Water

Often due to a worn door seal gasket, a faulty water inlet valve, or a cracked float switch chamber.

Dishwasher Not Draining

Typically a blocked drain filter, a kinked drain hose, or a broken drain pump motor.

Breaker Tripping During Cycle

Indicates an electrical short in the heating element (used to sanitize and dry) or the main motor capacitor.

Loud Grinding or Humming Noise

Points to debris inside the pump impeller housing, or worn bearings in the main wash pump motor.

Dishes Not Drying at All

Usually caused by a burned-out heating element, a failed high-limit thermostat, or a broken rinse aid dispenser.

Dishwasher Not Draining

Standing water in the bottom of the tub is the most common dishwasher fault in Dubai. In nine cases out of ten, the cause sits somewhere between the filter and your sink trap: food debris and broken glass in the filter assembly, a blocked drain pump impeller, a kinked drain hose behind the unit, or a blocked sink spigot the dishwasher drains into.

If the filter and hose are clear and you hear a hum but no water moves, the drain pump has usually seized or failed. On Bosch and Siemens machines this shows as E24 or E25; on Electrolux and AEG as i20; on Samsung as 5C; on LG as OE.

Dishwasher Leaking Water

Leaks usually come from the door seal, a cracked spray arm, an overfilled rinse-aid dispenser, the inlet hose connection, or the sump seal under the tub. Many modern dishwashers have a leak sensor in the base tray: when it detects water, the machine stops and runs the drain pump to protect your kitchen (E15 on Bosch and Siemens, i30 on AEG and Electrolux, LC on Samsung).

Never tilt a dishwasher to "empty" the base tray and carry on using it. Water in the base means something is leaking, and it will return.

Dishes Not Clean or Not Dry

Dubai tap water is hard, and limescale is the silent cause of many cleaning complaints. Scale blocks spray arm jets, coats the heating element and reduces the circulation pump’s pressure. If glasses come out cloudy and plates gritty, check that the salt container is filled and the water hardness setting is correct before assuming a fault.

If dishes stay wet and cold at the end of the cycle, the heater, heat pump or temperature sensor has usually failed. Some premium models (Bosch and Siemens Zeolith, Miele AutoOpen) dry differently, so we check what drying system your model uses before replacing parts.

How Our Dishwasher Repair Works, Step by Step

Every visit follows the same process, so you know what to expect.

  1. 1You call or WhatsApp us with the brand, model and symptom or error code. We confirm the visit time, usually the same day if you book before 4 PM.
  2. 2The technician checks the filter, spray arms, drain path and inlet first. These cause most faults and are the quickest to rule out.
  3. 3Using the dishwasher’s service test program, the technician runs the drain pump, circulation pump, heater and inlet valve one by one to find the failed part.
  4. 4You receive an itemized quote for the repair. Nothing is replaced until you approve it.
  5. 5After the repair, the technician runs a short test cycle to confirm the dishwasher fills, heats, washes and drains correctly, and checks the base for leaks.

Built-In Dishwashers Need Careful Removal

Most dishwashers in Dubai apartments are fully integrated behind a kitchen cabinet door. Removing one without damaging the worktop, the door panel or the plinth takes care, and reinstalling it level and correctly secured matters: a dishwasher that is not level leaks from the door. Our technicians are used to fitted kitchens in towers across Dubai Marina, JLT, Downtown and Business Bay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my dishwasher not draining?

Usually a blocked filter, a clogged drain pump, a kinked drain hose, or a blocked sink connection. Clean the filter first. If the water still does not drain, the drain pump likely needs replacing.

Is it worth repairing a dishwasher?

Drain pumps, inlet valves, heaters, door seals and spray arms are all worth repairing at almost any age. For a circulation pump or control board on a machine older than 10 years, compare the quote with a new dishwasher.

Why does my dishwasher leave white residue on glasses?

Dubai’s hard water leaves limescale. Refill the dishwasher salt, check the water hardness setting and rinse-aid level, and clean the spray arms. If that does not help, the water softener unit may need repair.

Can you repair a built-in dishwasher without damaging my kitchen?

Yes. Our technicians remove and reinstall integrated dishwashers carefully, protecting the worktop and cabinet door panel, and level the unit on reinstallation.

Do you repair dishwashers on weekends?

Yes. We take bookings 7 days a week across Dubai.

Why does my dishwasher leave a cloudy film or residue on dishes?

This is often caused by hard water mineral buildup clogging the spray arm nozzles, a faulty wash pump failing to distribute water, or a malfunctioning water heating element.

What causes a dishwasher to not drain water at the end of a cycle?

A clogged drain filter, a kinked drain hose, or a failed drain pump motor are the typical culprits. Our technicians can quickly clear the block or replace the pump.

Why is my dishwasher tripping the electricity?

If the circuit breaker trips during a dishwasher cycle, it usually indicates an electrical short in the heating element (used for drying) or water leaking onto the motor wiring harnesses.
