Every Siemens built-in oven has a tangential cooling fan above the cavity that keeps the electronics and cabinet cool. If it fails, the oven may shut down mid-cook, show an error or leave the control panel very hot. We replace the cooling fan and check the control module was not damaged by heat.
Siemens steam and steam-assist ovens need regular descaling, especially with Dubai’s hard water. When scale builds up, the steam generator or pump fails and the oven reports a water or descaling fault. Descaling, or replacing the generator, restores it.
If one side of a tray browns faster, the rear fan element may be partly failed or the fan motor is running slowly. We measure the element’s resistance and check the fan speed.
Our Siemens oven process:
- We check the mode, any code and the E-Nr.
- Cavity temperature and fan speed are measured.
- Elements, sensor, cooling fan and door lock (on activeClean models) are tested.
- Steam models are checked for scale in the generator and water path.
- After the quoted repair, the oven is tested on all modes.
During activeClean, the oven heats to around 480°C to turn grease to ash, locks the door and runs the cooling fan hard. This puts real stress on the door lock, the cooling fan and the door seals. If activeClean will not start, stops early or leaves the door locked, one of these parts has usually failed. Wipe away heavy spills before running activeClean, and never run it with trays inside unless the manual says they are pyrolysis-safe.
