Many Siemens iQ500 and iQ700 machines have i-Dos, which doses detergent automatically from built-in tanks. Over time, concentrated detergent can dry and block the dosing pump or its channel, so the machine stops dosing or reports a dosing fault. We clean and flush the system, and replace the dosing pump if it has failed.
If your Siemens stops with water inside and displays a drain error, the cause is almost always the pump filter or the pump. Coins and hair clips get past the drum and jam the pump impeller. The fix is quick, but the filter must be opened carefully because the drum may still hold several litres.
Siemens machines with aquaStop have a float switch in the base tray. When water collects there, the machine cuts the water supply and displays an error. Common sources are a split door seal, a leaking detergent drawer or a loose pump seal. We find the leak, fix it and dry the base so the machine resets.
A typical Siemens visit follows this sequence:
- We read the E code and check the rating plate inside the door rim for the E-Nr, so we know the exact iQ generation and parts.
- The drum is drained safely through the pump filter hatch, and the filter, pump impeller and drain hose are checked.
- Using the Siemens service test program, we run the inlet valves, drain pump, heater and motor one at a time.
- You get an itemized quote for the failed part, whether that is the pump, valve, door lock, heater, i-Dos pump or bearings.
- After the repair, we run a short wash and a spin, then check the base tray is dry so aquaStop does not trip again.
Siemens iQ machines are well built, and pumps, valves, door locks, heaters and dosing pumps are always worth replacing. Bearings are the big decision: on many modern Siemens machines the tub is sealed, so a bearing repair means replacing the tub assembly. On a machine under about eight years old in good condition, that is still usually worth it; on an older machine with other wear, we will tell you honestly if a new one makes more sense.
