A jar that spins on the motor without turning the blade has a stripped coupler, either on the jar or on the motor. If your mixer grinder suddenly stops, first check the red overload (OLP) button under the base: let the motor cool for a few minutes, then press it to reset. If it still does not run, or it runs slowly, sparks or smells of burning, the cause is usually worn carbon brushes, a failed speed switch, or a damaged armature or field winding. Carbon brush and switch replacements are quick; winding repairs take longer.
