Beko front-load washing machines offer good value, and many Dubai tenants own one. Newer Beko models use a ProSmart brushless inverter motor, while older ones use a brushed motor with carbon brushes. The difference matters when a Beko will not spin.
On older Beko machines with brushed motors, worn carbon brushes are the classic cause of a drum that turns weakly or not at all. They are cheap to replace. On ProSmart inverter models, the brushless motor rarely wears, so a no-spin fault is more often the motor control board, the tachometer signal or an unbalanced load.
Beko doors stay locked while water remains in the drum or while the lock cools down. If the drum is empty and the door stays locked for more than a few minutes, the door lock mechanism has failed. We release the door safely and replace the lock.
Water running from the detergent drawer usually means the drawer or its siphon is blocked with softener residue. Leaks underneath come from the door seal, pump or hoses. We trace the source rather than just replacing the most likely part.

Water running out of the detergent drawer is a common Beko complaint. The cause is usually a softener siphon blocked with thick residue, or low water pressure that lets the drawer fill slowly. Cleaning the drawer and siphon fixes most cases. If it keeps happening, the inlet valve may not be opening fully.
